Oh So Thankful!
Hello friends, family, and prayer warriors,
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I would love to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for reading my blog, praying alongside me, and partnering with me in campus ministry. This season is often when we begin to see the beginnings of the fruit the Lord is bearing in people’s lives, thanks to your generosity and sacrifice. While you may never see the full extent of the impact you’ve had, I am so deeply grateful for you, and the Lord is faithful!
Pizza Theology
It was truly an honor to have Professor Rikk Watts from Regent College speak to all of the FOCUS campuses. He taught us from 1 and 2 Samuel, focusing on the question, “What does a truly godly King look like?” Our students took a lot away from it, as did I! What I appreciate about Rikk Watts is that he is not only knowledgeable, but communicates the truth of the Gospel with passion, which left all of us inspired to read the Scriptures and pursue the heart of God. It was such a blessing to get to hear from him!
Friendsgivings
The week before Thanksgiving, several cores got together to celebrate and enjoy fellowship with a potluck, which we call “Friendsgiving”. People brought all kinds of delicious food, ranging from homemade enchiladas to Texas Roadhouse rolls. We played group games, talked about what we are thankful for, and met new friends. I am so thankful for these sweet guys and gals!
Blessed with Birthday Fun!
The beginning of this month was my birthday (and Veronica’s, in the photo below). I am so blessed with coworkers, friends, and students who wanted to celebrate with me! I am so loved and I’ve done nothing to deserve it. I can’t help but reflect on how the Lord loves us in this way, and even more! In Romans 5:8, Paul says “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This verse has been on my mind this month, and I pray the Spirit also helps you begin to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ (Ephesians 3:18).

Keep FOCUS Growing
It’s finally time for our annual fundraiser, Keep FOCUS Growing! This campaign has been a huge blessing to our ministry and students. Funds will go towards outreach materials and events, staff development, administrative support, or pioneering new campus ministries.
A subset of our generous ministry partners has pledged to match $77,000 in donations that come in during this campaign. Give now to take advantage of these matching funds and double your gift!
KFG will end on Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024. Please consider giving anytime to partner in our mission of making and maturing disciples on DFW college campuses!
To donate, you can visit anyfocus.org/kfg

Prayer Requests
- Pray for the students as they wrap up the semester, that they would finish it well, both academically and spiritually!
- Pray for their safe travels over Christmas break, that they would get good rest and feel rejuvenated and ready for spring semester.
- Pray that many students would make the decision to attend Winter Retreat in January, and that the Lord would prepare their hearts for life transformation!
Thank you for your generous support and making it possible to raise up this new generation of disciples. Your imitation of God’s faithfulness is bearing fruit! As always, please reach out if you have any prayer requests, questions or comments.
With love,
Cathryn
