Gearing Up For the School Year

Hello there!

I am so excited for this upcoming school year and for all the Lord has in store. July has been full of praying, planning, and prepping for the year ahead. Specifically, for the month of August when students return to campus or arrive for the first time, so we will be hitting the ground running!

2025-2026 Denton Staff Team
(Casey Hopper, Hannah Edwards, and Hannah Winkler will be our new apprentices. So looking forward to working with them!)

We have had fun dreaming up and planning new events to make students feel welcome during the first couple weeks of school. I can’t wait to share stories with you all about how it goes next month! Please be praying that we meet many students, get them connected, and ultimately that our outreach leads students to Jesus. We have also been praying for the year ahead and  have collectively been drawn to focus on something that never gets old: grace. Be praying that we can internalize the grace of God as a whole ministry this year, and that our staff can be good stewards of what the Lord is doing on these campuses.

Keanna (my coworker) and I at a local Denton plant store. We ran into a few girls transferring from Richland Community College FOCUS to UNT FOCUS and got to spend time getting to know them!

Licensing Ceremony Invitation

I am among 19 staff members committing to serve several more years on staff with FOCUS. The ceremony is July 31st at 7:30pm at The Care Church in Richardson, Texas. I would love to officially invite you all to attend, whether that be in person or online at twitch.tv/utd.

Thank you for your prayer and generous support! I am deeply comforted knowing that all of you are supporting us and God’s work here. The Lord is faithful to carry His good work to completion.

With love,

Cathryn
