April Update

 

Look at all those smiling faces! This is our corefa leader team for the 2025-2026 school year. I am so proud of them. They have done such an incredible job, and are finishing the school year well. This month, many Focus on Jesus studies have been finishing up, which means even more students choosing to dedicate their lives to Jesus! 

Just like every year, the end of the year is approaching FAST! We have been making the most of our last full month before summer break is here. Here’s the scoop:

One thing I’ve been really excited about is ministering to our music school students. They have busy and often unpredictable schedules, but have still made time for a weekly Bible study together. Please be praying for them, especially as we seek to reach even more of them next year!

We hosted an Open House TNF on UNT’s campus! We invited our students’ parents, friends, and loved ones to join us for a Thursday Night Fellowship Service and get to know a bit more about who we are. This night was so special. We got to hear from several parents about how their child’s time in FOCUS has impacted them. Praise God!

One of our students, Azael, shared his testimony. He will be joining our Denton staff as an apprentice next year. We are so excited to work with him!

One of my favorite parts of Thursday nights is worshipping alongside these students. Check out the video below, betcha can’t watch it without smiling!

COMING UP IN MAY…

Our annual Student Institute of Campus Ministries (SICM) Conference is on the horizon! Each year, we send a group of our students up to Washington state for a week-long conference to learn how to be student leaders on campus for Christ. This year, we are sending over 50 students from Denton campuses! That’s over 50 new leaders! 

Speaking of SICM…

Two of my faves, Mel and Fiona, will be attending SICM this year. Please pray for them to have safe travels and a fruitful experience, so they may come back to campus in the fall ready to make and mature disciples to the glory of God!
